I am currently a PhD student in Laboratory of Programming Methods (LAMP), under the supervision of Martin Odersky. My research topic is high-level compiler optimizations, my focus being to improve the performance of our Scala compiler.

Here I'll post some pet projects which I did in my spare time. Don't expect too much :-)

xml-test

An XML diff tool that checks two documents for similarity. Element order does not matter, comments and whitespace are skipped, certain elements can be ignored. It can be used both as a command line tool and as a library (for instance, to run during unit tests).

NextBus

A small J2ME (Java micro edition) application which can tell you the next time a bus/metro arrives at the chosen station, given the current time (it handles weekends and soon the holiday schedule too!). I'll post the link to download after I clean the build files so that anyone can make his own schedule (in fact, it should be general enough that it accomodates any public transportation system, not just Lausanne).
